She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Kinetics (1999), the University of Western Ontario with masters of Clinical Science in Occupational Therapy (2001), and UBC with a Masters of Science (2009). Jennifer has over twenty years experience working as an occupational therapist with children.

Lisa Wallace graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2001. She has over ten years of experience working with families in community and hospital-based settings, including BC Children’s Hospital, within their research, neonatal follow up and outpatient clinics. Lisa provided reproductive mental health services in London, England for families during their pregnancy and postpartum period. Through her volunteer work, Lisa facilitated a support group to parents who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Lisa is passionate about prioritizing parental and child mental health and wellness. She values the importance of de-stigmatizing challenges faced by parents and offering supportive and collaborative services to improve overall wellness and quality of life for families. Lisa is a mom to two young kids and one sweet and barky dog.

Courtney Hall, mother of two very active boys. She graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a Bachelor of Science (2004) and from UBC with a Master of Occupational Therapy (2007). Courtney has practiced as a paediatric occupational therapist in community-based early intervention services as well as in clinical and school settings in private practice. Courtney has furthered her education in the area of sensory integration, anxiety, and attachment, and applies this knowledge towards its impact on sleep and other activities of daily living of children. Courtney believes that working with children and their families is about building a partnership, and goals should be meaningful and functional to the whole family.
In 2008 North Shore Occupational Therapy Inc. (NSOT) realized a need for research based paediatric health care professionals in sleep. A need for every day families and parents like you. NSOT Founder Jennifer Garden became part of the Children’s SunnyHill / UBC sleep research team, conducted her own clinical research, and we became Sleepdreams®.

Alicia Jameson graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Science (2012) and from Dalhousie University with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014. Since graduating from Dalhousie, she has practiced in both hospital and community settings. For the past 5 years, Alicia has worked in pediatric mental health, working closely with clients and their families, with additional training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness and trauma-informed care. Alicia is also a mother of three young children under the age of four. Throughout these past 4 years, her passion towards the importance of sleep for the whole family unit has grown tremendously. Her main objective is to work in collaboration with children and their families to establish and reach their goals in sleep, and all other daily activities that are important to them.

It is not a cry it out approach, but rather a method of decreasing parental support as your little one learns to fall asleep, and resettle to sleep, on their own.
